SUPPLIER QUALITY ENGINEER

- Technical university degree (preferably mechanics or materials science);
- 3+ years experience in supplier quality engineering or process/product engineering or product quality
- Knowledge of quality improvement tools
- Knowledge of parts machining and casting technology, materials science
- Fluency in English
- PC skills: Ms Office, Internet, E-mailers;
- Driver's license B category;
- Availability to travel abroad for trainings and supplier audits.

For EMERSON's Regulators Division in the Cluj Manufacturing Campus we are currently looking for a SUPPLIER QUALITY ENGINEER.
- Coordinate projects meant to drive the continuous improvement of Suppliers’ performance
- Conduct quality and process audits at the suppliers’ manufacturing sites
- Evaluate the production capacity of the suppliers
- Develop and supervize the parts approval process
- Participate in all technical inspections conducted both at Emerson and Suppliers’ sites
- Is part of the new product development team
- Is involved in the development of inspection plans
- Develop and implement process control reporting tools to ensure the compliance to in-process and final inspection requirements.
- Analyze the suppliers’ capacity to handle claims and problems, and the procedures regarding risk prevention
- Draw-up specific reports and presentations regarding the status of the projects
- Use Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma or other quality improvement tools (FMEA, MSA/Gage R&R, Control Plans, Capability Analysis, SPC, Root Cause Analysis, Process Mapping etc) for the development of suppliers
- Identify the technologies necessary for quality improvement of the supplier-provided materials.
- Support Strategic Procurement projects and initiatives
- Assist purchasing managers in accomplishing the inspections at the suppliers’ site
- Identify and manage all current actions regarding suppliers’ performance
- Analyse and report the performance of the suppliers by using specific metrics
