Software Manager

We are looking for the very best people to join our team to develop the next generation of the company's core database tools. You'll work with some of the best software talent in the business on a fast-paced Agile team, doing "green field" development in the hottest new technologies for projects with a great deal of visibility. Our office is located in Iasi's downtown core, and you'll work in an Agile project room filled with sharp coworkers.

We are going to be developing high-performance, mission-critical enterprise software that needs to be rock solid and very, very scalable, and we expect you to either come to us with a track record of successfully developing such systems, or prove to us that you're sharp enough to get up to speed on the problems involved very quickly. We're very picky about who we hire, and unapologetic about that fact, and we care a lot more about your problem solving skills and ability to write well-tested, well-designed, efficient code than we do about how many years of experience you have with which specific technologies.

Responsibilities:
• Remove barriers between development and the Program Management to ensure proper context, data and communication so development can execute on expectations.
• Responsible for the overall productivity of the development team.
• Improve the work environment of the development team through motivation, facilitating creativity and empowerment.
• Responsible for maintaining and enforcing engineering best practices and standards.
• Manage budget including justification for training, books and tools.
• Manage the Software Development Life Cycle including Agile Software Development
• Resolution of blockers that are reported by the teams.
• Maintain a good relationship with team leaders to ensure fluidity and effectiveness of each team.
• Responsible for the quality of the code and product

Requirements:
• Graduate technical degree (Computer Science or Engineering) or equivalent
• 4+ years experience in managing teams or groups
• Experience in using or programming databases (such as Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, or Sybase)
