German Linguist - Localization Linguist

Skills and Experience Required
• High level of proficiency in German in addition to English.
• Experience as a translator, linguist or writer in software engineering is preferred.
• University degree in German or related field
• Good communication skills
• Good teamwork skills
• Good problem solving skills
• Good knowledge of windows operating systems
• Can read and understand programming languages is a plus.

Responsibilities and Activities
• Be responsible for ensuring quality deliverables of localized products (language editions).
• Make sure we use correct terminology in product
• Discover and isolate product flaws quickly and effectively.
• Working with Localization QA Engineer to develop and maintain test cases against for localized products to ensure translated products meet quality and /or functional requirements to those targeting countries.
• Working with translation coordinators to ensure we use right terminologies and maintain consistency throughout products.
• Ensure product user interface doesn’t have truncations due to translations.
• Report bugs and verify fixes
• Evaluate and report on latest product quality to team lead and management.
