| CANDIDATUL IDEAL:
Mandatory:
- You have excellent command of C and/or Assembler.
- You have written multithreaded code / interrupt code before.
- You have understanding of digital circuitry in electrical schematics.
- You have a good command of English (writing mostly) and excellent collaboration skills.
It is desirable that:
- You have some experience with schematic design and PCB design.
- You have done some network programming before.
- You know how to handle tools such as oscilloscope, multimeter, power supply, soldering iron.
- You are available for working abroad at times, possibly up to a few months per year. |
RESPONSABILITATI / BENEFICII:
Our team designs, from the ground up, automation systems, from less complex ones (e.g. standalone panels with buttons and LCD displays) to high-complexity products (featuring TFT touch screens, Ethernet connectivity, USB Hosts).
Your challenges will be to contribute to the hardware design stages with your expertise, and then to develop complete software for the processors in these systems (mainly ARM types). More specifically, we need you to:
- come up with ideas for hardware and software designs;
- design communication protocols (on top of established protocols such as CAN, USB, Ethernet);
- write device drivers and application code;
- troubleshoot and optimize hardware-software interfaces;
- learn new things all the time!
Eventually, you will have to design your own hardware, by creating schematics and PCBs. So you should like to do this as well.
Previous experience with embedded systems is required, even experience that was acquired with (nontrivial) school projects or personal projects.

DESCRIEREA COMPANIEI:
Edge Automation is a Romanian company that provides design and development services for a wide range of embedded systems. This position is open for a customer that is an established name in Industrial Automation.
Your office will be located in Bucharest, but it is possible that, once in a while, you will have to travel abroad to work at the customer's office. |
