Position Description:
The Technical Support Representative/Network Administrator will be responsible for resolving technical support requests from customers. The person in this position must take ownership of the customer's problem or request, and achieve a resolution or know when to escalate it to our senior technical experts. The Technical Support Representative/Network Administrator will be expected to resolve most technical problems, including Linux server and network administration issues. This IS NOT your typical Tier I tech support position. You will be expected to perform at a Tier I/Tier II level of proficiency. This is also a challenging position that requires a high level of commitment. Flexibility in work hours is required. | DESCRIEREA COMPANIEI:

eApps is an Internet services firm that offers high end managed hosting services using Linux and Open Source technologies. The ideal candidate will meet the following skill requirements.
* Linux operating systems knowledge – excellent knowledge of Linux is required. You must be able to install a Linux server from scratch and configure it on a network. We are not a Windows shop!!! If your expertise is Microsoft Windows, please do not apply for this position
* Solid networking foundation -- has a fundamental understanding of Linux server administration in a public facing network. You must be proficient in network administration to succeed in this position
* Java Application server knowledge -- has exposure to Java application servers (Tomcat, JBoss, Glassfish, Jetty) and mail servers and the ability to master the administration of these technologies in a short time
* Relational database knowledge -- has exposure to MySQL, PostgreSQL or other databases and the ability to master the administration of these technologies in a short time
* Good understanding of Internet protocols -- understands common protocols such as HTTP, SMTP, POP3, DNS
* Flexible work hours -- this is a 24/7 operation. The position will require odd work hours such as evenings and weekends
* Great problem solving skills –your primary responsibility will be to resolve customer problems. You must have the ability to analyze a customer's problem and take ownership of the resolution process
* Excellent communication skills -- feels comfortable interacting with customers and associates
* Good Judgment -- knows when to stick with a problem and when to seek assistance
* Self Starter -- has a high energy level and is comfortable producing a high volume of work
