Job description:
We are recruiting the right candidates for the Professional Services Organization of Agilent Technologies OSS Business.
The mission is to design and deliver solution and services to meet the Operation Support needs of the leading Communication Service Providers, leveraging Agilent and third party products.
Agilent Technologies OSS flagship products are NetExpert, AcceSS7 and Firehunter, with an ever-growing number of applications for service assurance, service fulfillment, revenue assurance and business intelligence.
The CSSD project manager plays a key role in proposing and delivering solutions that meet the evolving OSS solution needs of the fast growing telecommunication business. It can often mean proposing technical and commercial proposals for unique new custom integrated solutions and consulting services. Regardless of the solution complexity though, the project manager is always accountable for careful management of all solution deliverables, including customer acceptance of the solutions, on schedule, in profit, and to customer satisfaction.
The role will provide the right candidate an opportunity to accelerate their development in the OSS/Telecom domain and in terms of managing large/complex/ for the leading European customers and participating to the steep growth of Agilent in the OSS market.
The CSSD project manager is responsible for leading the acquisition and implementation of CMS OSS solution business, partnering and developing close teamwork with the sales organisation, as well as building strong relationships with CMS divisions.
Customer relationship management is a key aspect of the project manager role across the entire lifecycle of the solution from early pre-sales, through to deployment planning, solution delivery and commissioning, and then in to the support phase. The project manager is the Agilent focal point for the customer at all times, and requires a mix of assertiveness and diplomacy skills in order to balance customer focus with Agilents business risk.
This is a fast moving, dynamic and extremely challenging role. The successful candidates will be highly creative, entrepreneurial in outlook, and have the communication skills and energy to thrive in the fast paced OSS solutions business.
The main responsibilities for this position are:
Business qualification and acquisition:
Engage in tender responses, coordinating inputs from Agilent and 3rd parties
Engage in the definition of proposals including Agilent and 3rd party deliverables
Negotiate terms and conditions
Effective teamwork with Sales and CMS divisions
Business delivery:
Lead all owned projects, managing internal and external resources to support the project
Apply effective project planning and risk management techniques
Issue management
Selection and management of 3rd party resources
Achieve project acceptance milestones on time, and to customer satisfaction
Ensure successful transition of projects in to support mode
Financials:
Ensure effective revenue management practices are applied
P+L responsibility for owned projects
Customer relationship management:
Manage customer expectations across the entire solution lifecycle
Ensure all services delivered meet/exceed customer expectations
The job will be focussed on the region /Dublin - Ireland/, but will also require flexibility to participate to European/Global projects.
