CHIEF ACCOUNTANT - GERMAN SPEAKING

Main requirements:
University degree in an appropriate field (accounting, finance)
Minimum 3 years experience in an accounting related position
Minimum 1 year experience as Chief Accountant
Minimum 1 year experience in a supervision position
Excellent knowledge of Romanian accounting system and the related laws
Good knowledge of IAS system and IFRS
Excellent oral and written communication skills in German and/or English and Romanian
Knowledge of procedure writing methodology
Good problem solving skills
Good planning and organizing skills
Good training and coaching skills
Good interpersonal communication skills

Main responsibilities:

•Ensures accuracy of all records related to SW Tehnica Mediului (all the business entities) according to Romanian accounting standards and the company’s internal procedures.
•Manages entry of data into the system through an efficient and effective process of planning, directing and controlling.
•Reconciles all aspects related to SW Tehnica Mediului and the business entities transactions.
•Consolidates accounting data from business entities into SW Tehnica Mediului
•Calculates all taxes according to statutory procedures.
•Maintains updated and implements all legal procedures related to the area of responsibility.
•Identifies and resolves any exceptions to the process or problems that occur.
•Prepares all the statutory financial statements (VAT, Salary Taxes, Corporate Taxes, Trial Balance, Balance Sheet, Profit and Loss Accountant, etc) and ensures that they are submitted in time.
•Prepares weekly and monthly reports on different financial status according to established criteria.
•Prepares statements translating data into IAS according to the company’s needs.
•Prepares weekly reports on the sector’s activities and progress towards achieving objectives.
•Promptly provides reports to internal or external auditors regarding the area of activity.
•Ensures archiving according to established procedures.

Purpose:
The purpose of the Chief Accountant is to ensure an effective and efficient recording, processing and reporting of all financial transactions of SW Tehnica Mediului in order to provide accurate information to the Financial Director and to comply with all statutory recording and reporting requirements under IAS.
