Professional Service Engineer

Professional knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Strong knowledge of the TCP/IP protocol suite and IP network technologies
• Experience in administration of UNIX and/or Linux servers
• Substantial skills in UNIX operations like scripting either shell (sh, ksh, bash, ...) or any other language (PERL, Tcl…)
• Knowledge in project management is a plus

Personal Skills
• Fluent English – written and oral
• German language is a plus
• Good communications skills
• Ability to work in a multi-culture environment
• Structured and analytic way of working
• Stress resistant and willing to work in a fast paced environment

Credentials and Qualifications
• Degree in IT or comparable experience
• CCNA or comparable certification is a plus
• 2 years experience in support or engineering roles

Special Requirements
• Ability to analyze problems in complex scenarios
• Strong teamwork competence
• Disposition to travel > 50%

The primary task of a PSE, is the technical deployment of the Deuromedia DIP platform to networks of small to large
scale. This typically includes analyzing and configuring all components of the system: switches, routers, servers,
software and monitoring tools.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Take ownership and responsibility to deliver a seamless deployment of the Deuromedia DIP platform to customers
• Understand customer needs and provide solutions within scope to these needs
• Support and manage integration partners
• Keeping the installation base up and running by providing technical 2nd level support in case of incidents
• Provide feedback and suggestions to the software development, where applicable
