| CANDIDATUL IDEAL:
Our prestigious client is a leading international cable operator offering advanced video, telephone, and broadband Internet services.
We are looking for a professional 2nd LEVEL SUPPORT ENGINEER DIGITAL TV for our clients office in AMSTERDAM.
|
RESPONSABILITATI / BENEFICII:
Main Duties & Responsibilities
Ensure that platforms necessary for the DTV and DTH services are maintained and well operated;
Provide direct follow-up to Level 3 and Level 4 support on digital incidents in the affiliate if required;
Provide feedback concerning performance and capacity of production of DTV and DTH platforms;
Assist affiliates with trouble-shooting complex production issues, and provide guidance on DTV and DTH technical standards and processes to follow;
Provide ongoing support to ensure that comprehensive testing is carried out during integration and delivery of DTV platforms;
Work closely with other teams and vendors to provide expertise in the analysis of major incident root cause;
Support the deployment phase of new projects;
Review, judge and analyze the impact on the platforms and networks of DTV-related requests for changes;
Identify alarm priority, and work closely with the relevant teams to set the requirements for alarm management on the digital platforms;
Required to work in on-call teams to provide 24x7 support on the DTV/DTH platforms.

DESCRIEREA COMPANIEI:
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
Degree in Information Technology or Computer /Electrical Engineering or equivalent industry experience
3+ years experience in maintenance and support of DTV broadcast and interactive platforms
Minimum 1 year experience in the design and implementation of DTV service delivery (over satellite is desirable)
Configuration and management of DTV Broadcast devices preferably including some, or all of the following:
oPhilips, SA, Terayon and/or Tandberg Head-end equipment;
oOpenTV middleware
oCASIS, PSI/SI
oNagra or Cryptoworks conditional access systems
Expert working knowledge of providing 2nd / 3rd line support in an international environment
Design and/or operations of DTV infrastructure
Experience of working with DTV broadcast & digital related interactive platforms and transport systems (incl. VOD)
Sound knowledge of DTV Interactive Services fundamentals
Working knowledge of debugging and analysis of complex issues within large scale DTV or DTH networks
Experience of working with design teams and contributing to overall DTV and DTH platform design in multiple customer environments
Fluency in English (verbal and written)
Good communication skills
Windows (MS Office, Visio), UNIX
