RESERVOIR ENGINEER

The successful candidate will have at least a Bachelor’s degree in engineering with at least 10 years of industry experience with significant exposure to reservoir simulation of large oilfields which are produced under secondary recovery mechanisms. He/she will have a strong, in-depth understanding of reservoir engineering processes and mechanisms and will have done some reserves estimation and well test evaluation. Exposure to new developments in reservoir engineering and simulation and experience of working in integrated teams will be considered a plus.

As a Senior Reservoir Engineer with our client, you will work in a fully-integrated, thriving subsurface team and will be exposed to state-of-the-art tools, methodologies and technologies as well as to the global network of technical staff. You will have the opportunity to work on the base reservoir management and on reservoir development planning and implementation, including infill drilling, wellworks, satellite developments and new developments. You will be expected to have high business awareness and build strong internal and external peer relationships across disciplines within the subsurface team and across delivery teams to deliver an optimally managed reservoir to find new development opportunities to increase asset value.


GEOLOGIST

Lead the integration/synthesis of subsurface data.
Coordinate petrophysical analysis and support
Work with the geophysicist to build well correlations
Work with the team to develop a reservoir description and characterization for each opportunity.
Facilitating cross team communication between drilling, facilities, commercial and subsurface. Ensuring key reservoir risks and uncertainties are identified and communicated to the team and to management.
Develop a good understanding on how the Russian process for Development Plan submission works and how local Russian Design Institutes are used.
Develop a good working relationship with company’s counterparts working similar projects.
Prepare presentations and participate in meetings with partners, government, and contractors


Senior Completion Engineer

Key Responsibilities
Working as part of a multi-discipline team, the Senior Completion Engineer will have accountability for:

Technical integrity and assurance of well completion designs
Leading by example with strong commitment to HSSE
Ensuring compliance with legislative and company’s policies during well planning and execution.
Ensuring appropriate assurance and review of completion design and planning work.
Ensuring full integration between sub-surface and wells teams during the planning process.
Implementation of company’s “Beyond the Best” (Project planning process) common processes within the wells team.
Coach, supervise and mentor completion engineers to ensure appropriate development and career progression.
Strive for continual performance improvement through knowledge management and application for new technologies.
Essential Criteria
Educated to degree level in Engineering or related discipline
Minimum of 8 years experience in the petroleum industry.
Minimum of 5 years experience as a completions engineer.
Proven track record of delivery in a completions engineering role.
Ability to work to timelines with minimum supervision
Strong interpersonal, influencing and communication skills, demonstrated by an ability to work across multi-disciplinary teams.
Desirable Criteria
Ability to innovate and be open to new ideas
Competence with Landmark well engineering software packages (DIMS, Wellcat, Prosper)
Experience in sand control completion techniques
An IWCF Well Control certificate or equivalent.
Experience of deep water and sand control completions


Senior Reservoir Engineer

2. Purpose of role:
The Shah Deniz Reservoir Engineer’s role is a key technical position with responsibilities across the “Reservoir Management” framework for both Stage 1 and Stage 2. He / she will support the long term optimisation of Stage 1 reservoir and production operations and the delivery of the Stage 2 project through MPCP. The RE will be responsible for a wide range of engineering activities, as well as transfer of lessons learned, mentoring and development of less experienced and new team members.

3. Key Results/ Accountabilities expected from role
Whilst working with other team members the RE will have full responsibility for delivery of a number of elements of the Reservoir & Wells performance contract. These responsibilities may include:
• Design and build a “production quality” full field reservoir model with the ability to integrate Stage 1 static and production data into the model and history match quickly.
• Using the FFM and early production data deliver a more effective, ie fewer wells, Stage 1 Depletion Plan.
• Medium and long term production forecasts.
• Reserves compliance and reporting including delivery of RAM’s, 1 page Depletion Plans, RSP’s etc.
• Depletion plans and production sensitivities for input to the Full Field Stage 2 and Stage 3 projects.
