| CANDIDATUL IDEAL:
PERSON - higher weighting more important
10 - 3+ yrs experience as an Operations/Business Unit Manager - production/engineering/materials/etc - in a medium/high volume and medium mix batch sheet-metal or plastics manufacturing environment
10 - Leadership personality - role model, standard-setter, coach, motivator - clear vision, challenges status quo.
10 - Demonstrates strong process management skills/methodologies - logical and process-driven approach - highly developed analytical skills - data-driven but decisive, accountable, pro-active
10 - Strong listening, communication and influencing skills - verbal, written and formal
10 - Excellent reasoning ability - to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
10 - Customer passion - demonstrates and drives others to listen to, interpret, and exceed customers expectations - internal and external
10 - Problem-solving role model - solves problems with intangible factors in creative and effective ways -executes/drives resolution of critical issues through effective application of best practices - can work on multiple, complex problems simultaneously
10 - Fluent verbal/written English a must - ideally also Romanian
9 - Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering or related field subject
9 - Commercial acumen - ability to understand and act on business/financial reports and KPIs.
9 - Computer literate - MS Office, ERP systems, manufacturing control systems, etc
9 - Good appreciation of Lean and 6 Sigma methodology, and can demonstrate application of similar thinking/tools - ideally black belt trained
9 - Ideally previous experience within a US multinational CEM
9 - Ideally experience of new factory or business unit start-up
8 - Proficient in the use of AutoCad or similar 3D design packages

ROLE - Factory Operations Manager - reporting to Site General Manager and Regional General Manager of Enclosures Division, and responsible for :
project manage the start-up of a med/high volume and med mix enclosures operation within the Romanian campus

- methods and procedures into Romanian

take operational responsibility for new team

performance management - KPIs
ensure optimum employee engagement, and regular 2-way communication - to maximise employee accountability and involvement
achieve delivery, quality, and cost targets - by product and overall
create KPI driven continuous improvement environment, using "best in class" tools like Lean , 6Sigma, Kaisen, etc
achieve budgeted revenue, cost, and hence P&L goals for the factory
ensure robust but flexible processes to support regular introduction of new products and customers
be customer champion, ensuring that whole factory is focused on exceeding needs of customers - internal and external | DESCRIEREA COMPANIEI:
CLIENT - US multinational CEM (contract electronics manufacturer) with strong Eastern European presence - starting up a sheet metal enclosures factory within a large campus that they have set-up in a major Romanian city (in Banat)
Equipment will be latest Trumpf (punch) and Armada (forming) equipment, as well as large powder paint line .
Headcount - currently zero - is planned to grow to 40 by end 2006, and 100 by end 2007
