Civil Construction Architect

The ideal candidate will have experience of working on a wide range of projects both in value and complexity.

�¡Experience in construction projects is requested (min. 2-3 years)
�¡Has to be a chartered architect (with stamp rights)
�¡Excellent knowledge of English (spoken and written) and very good computer skills are a must
�¡The candidate should be strongly motivated person, organized, results-oriented

He/she works closely with the team of architect and with the other professionals involved, including engineers and surveyors. He also works closely with construction specialists on site and oversees the project from beginning to end.

�¡Discusses the objectives, requirements, time deadlines and budget of a project
�¡Provides various pre design services which may include conducting feasibility and environmental impact studies, or specifying the requirements the design must meet
�¡Prepares drawings and present ideas for the client to review
�¡Develops final construction plans that show the building�fs appearance as well as details for its construction
�¡Follows building codes, zoning laws, fire regulations, and other ordinances
�¡Makes necessary changes throughout the planning process
�¡Uses IT in design and project management, specifically software packages such as Auto Cad;
�¡Prepares tender applications and presentations
�¡Negotiates with contractors and other professionals
�¡Prepares planning applications
�¡Coordinates the work of contractors
�¡Makes site visits to check on progress and ensuring that the project is running within the agreed timescale
�¡Solves problems that might occur during building
�¡Carries out defect inspections
