Senior Research Associate (corn)Based in Afumati
The Role:
• Ph.D. or M.S. degree in agronomy, seed science or technology, crop or plant science or a related agricultural or biological discipline plus related experience,
• Expertise with computers and statistical analysis is essential. Experience with and proven ability to use multiple computer software applications and manage large databases.
• Knowledge of seed production operations and ability to quickly learn unique inbred characteristics and behaviour in response to environmental factors and seed field management practices of a large number of inbreds.
• High level of English knowledge

RESPONSABILITATI / BENEFICII:
• Provide basic corn field and laboratory research trials
• Organize, coordinate and execute all field, laboratory and seed operations for corn trials
• Supervise data collection operation and responsible for data quality
• Primary support the data analysis and prepare all required reports and analysis for Advancement and Characterization process, Post Harvest meetings and other purposes
• Provide primary training for part-time workers for field and laboratory operations;
• Responsible for field and germplasm security
