Electrical Engineer (Safety, Health, Environment and Quality Deputy)

Requirements:
Electrical engineer with relevant experience in .
Minimum 1 year experience as specialist in Health Safety
Very good knowledge of regulations for works nearby tracks under operation and in accordance to the safety requirements of CFR
Post-graduate certificate as specialist in health and safety security awarded by INCDPM ( Romanian Institute for Research and Development in Health Safety) is an advantage
English fluently in speaking and writing.
Standard office software (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Reporting to: SHEQ Manager
Goal Setting: Assist the project in industrial safety and prevention of accidents, in all questions of work safety and ergonomic aspects of work.
Advice the Project Management and all persons, including Sub-Contractor, with responsibility in this project, on industrial safety prevention of accidents during work.

Tasks:
Planning, procurement and maintainance of workplaces and, if necessary, of social and sanitary facilities
Procurement of technical work equipment and the introduction of working processes i.e. Method Statements
Selection and, if necessary, test of personal protective equipment
Design of working places, the work routine, the work environment and all issues in ergonomics
Assessment of working conditions
Inspects the plants and the technical means referring to safety, especially before they are put in operations, to review working processes before they are implemented.

Specific tasks:
Inspection in periodical intervals the places of work and to inform the local management and the supervisors who are responsible for the industrial safety and the prevention of accidents about deviation and to suggest measures for concret actions and to work on continous improvement
Pay attention to the personnel protection means.
Check the cause of occupational accidents and near misses, to register the investigation results and evaluate them. Propose the local management measures to prevent such occupational accidents and near misses.
Interface between management to the sub-contractor and its safety process.

General Tasks:
Monitor all employees, including our Sub-contractors; in the workplace conduct themselves in accordance with the requirements of industrial safety and prevention of accidents.
Instruct the employees about the risks of accidents and health they are exposed during their work, and about the installations and measures to avoid these risks.
Further obligations as defined in the actual Project Safety, Health and Environment Plan form our company as well as the project specific documents form the client and the Irish legislations.

Our client is a major international company that is going to undertake the electrification between Fetesti and Constanta for CFR.
