BOOKKEEPING & TAX MANAGER

Work experience:
• Five years relevant experience in a multinational environment
• At least three years experience in managing staff (Big 4 experience is an advantage)
• Strong technical skills in Romanian accounting and tax (experience in IFRS is an advantage)
• Work in "Big 4" firms/ leading Romanian bookkeeping/tax firm as a Tax supervisor at least 2-3 years

Technical skills:
• In-depth knowledge of Romanian tax and accounting legislation
• Strong management skills / Ability to organize and lead team work
• Experience in building good client work relationships
• Strong selling skills
• Strong understanding of the tax process and procedures
• Good analytical skills
• Good writing skills (both English and Romanian)
• English - advanced

Job responsibilities:
• Lead client tax work for big industry companies (bookkeeping, tax consultancy, tax projects, etc.)
• Provide technical direction, guidance and support to the team on accounting treatment and tax matters
• Business development and organization of tax department
• Generation of new ideas and tax solutions
• Research and write client tax advice and review tax advice for clients prepared by assistants and senior assistants
• Maintain active communication with clients, their auditors and tax authorities to manage expectations and help ensure client satisfaction
• Manage risk and financial performance of engagement, including billing, risk assessment, and budget for all projects
• Manage, direct, monitor, and deliver multiple client engagements
• Act as coach and mentor to other tax professionals
