Position Purpose:

A key element of the company’s success has been its ability to run a state-of-the-art real-time data warehouse enabling the business to access near-time high transactional data to support key functional and operational areas.

This is a support/development role in the Datawarehouse Delivery team that requires a candidate with very good Oracle SQL and PL/SQL skills. The role involves working closely with the Datawarehouse stakeholders. The environment is fast-paced requiring a quick mind to understand and support new functionalities/technologies in a dynamic workplace.

Key Responsibilities / Duties:
• Responsible for day time support of the live Data warehouse
• Responsbile for preparation of data correction scripts using advanced SQL / PL SQL
• Responsbile for development of defect fixes for the live issues in a timely manner
• Perform root cause analysis for the issues and make suggestions to improve designs
• Understand, prioritize and resolve support tickets
• Tune poorly performing / long running programs
• Create utilities/routines to automate support procedures
• Handover support routines to 1st / 2nd line support teams
• Participate in an out of office hours on-call rota for the data warehouse
• Create technical documentation for Data warehouse interfaces
• Produce statistics on support issues
• Adhere to company coding standards and guidelines
