CONSTRUCTION ENGINEER / SUPERINTENDENT

Minimum 8 years experience in structures construction is required for motorways. Experience in foundations, abutments and piers will be an advantage.

He or she will be expected to perform following duties:

- Responsibility for field construction operations within assigned discipline or area.
- Determination of the manpower requirements.
- Coordination of established area operational plans. Schedules work to be performed and reviews work accomplished by each craft.
- Preparing of schedules, construction methods and procedures.
- Supervising and directing of subordinate personnel and craftsmen in construction activities within assigned area.
- Preparing reports and forecasts, including summary of construction progress, job manpower forecasts, and expenditures forecast.
- Monitoring the activities of subcontractors to ensure compliance with specifications and schedules.
- Responsibility for the implementation of corporate/project policies, procedures and instructions within assigned operations.
- Coordination of activities with other disciplines or areas, and clients’ resident representatives as instructed by construction management.
- Performing the personnel evaluations on subordinate personnel.
- Ensuring that all Bechtel, State and Federal safety codes, requirements and standards are being complied within as-signed area of responsibility.
