| CANDIDATUL IDEAL:
Minimum Qualifications
1.Knowledge: A professional accountancy qualification
2.Experience: Two to three year’s post-qualifying experience in an accountant’s role with responsibility for both input and analysis of transactions, working with budgets and forecasts and interacting with other departments. Exposure to an accounting system with an analytical accounting structure.
3.Skills and Abilities: Ability to work with a minimum of supervision and to input into management processes, systems and procedures. Experience with the usual Microsoft Office tools, particularly Word and Excel. A very good level of written and spoken English.
| RESPONSABILITATI / BENEFICII:
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Finance, Accounting and Treasury Operations:
1.Records transactions data into the computerized accounting system on a timely basis and ensures subsequent verification thereof;
2.Files all accounting support documents, reconciliations and analyses in accordance with statutory/project requirements;
3.Issues invoices to DCP Vienna for incoming funds in respect of subcontracted work and duly records these in the accounting records in full respect of Romanian legislation;
4.Assists in maintaining appropriate files by project to retain key contractual and other documents;
5.Properly reconciles and manages other balance sheet items, particularly the banks, balances with DCP Vienna and other receivables and payables;
6.Produces a weekly cash and bank overview for review by the Financial Manager RO and distribution to key management;
7.Assists the Chief Accountant RO in the preparation and maintenance of the “Key Indicator” information for management;
8.Assists in setting up appropriate provisions for prepaid and accrued charges at the end of each financial year or at the end of projects. Ensures that these provisions are properly and promptly cleared in the next financial year;
Payroll
1.Ensures that the data required by the external payroll service is approved by the Financial Manager and the Romanian Programme Coordinator and is sent each month in time for the payroll to be prepared in accordance with the statutory delays;
2.Makes the monthly payroll payments by the due date;
3.Records the payroll transactions in the accounting system and files the payroll records in a proper and appropriate manner.
Other Administrative Duties
1.Taking care of physical inventories and in reconciling the results to the fixed assets register
2.Properly files all documents on a timely basis and assists in the development and maintenance of appropriate archives in accordance with donor and legal requirements;
3.Assists the Financial Manager RO in operating the programme/project administration system and in maintaining the necessary files and producing the periodic information for programme and project management. In particular assists the Financial Manager RO, the Romanian Programme Coordinator and the Project Managers in ensuring that appropriate sub-contracts and detailed budgets are provided by DCP Vienna for all conservation work subcontracted to WWF DCP RO by DCP Vienna.
4.Enters the transactions in the accounting system in agreement with the information referred to in 4. above;
5.Assists the Financial Manager RO in the development and operation of a system for dealing with the day-to-day running of the Bucharest office, including ensuring office security, cleaning services, maintenance, purchase of consumables and other office supplies, courier and other communications services, management of the rent contract, telephonist and receptionist services.
