WW Logistics Engineer

- Total fluency in English, strong written, oral and interpersonal communication skills; customer proposals and presentations experience
- Advanced degree(s) in industrial engineering, operations research, logistics, etc.
- Actual life experience in modeling, assessing and communicating results viz. complex real-life logistics problems
- A thorough understanding of supply chain logistics concepts and practical experience as a logistical engineer or consultant or other comparable experience
- Experience and thorough understanding of modeling software such as CAST or i2Supply Chain Strategist, linear programming, ability to use advanced Excel and Access tools
- Ability to work and take a leadership role on unstructured tasks, excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Project management discipline preferred.

- Scope and build logistics network models
- Provide leadership and support to regional teams through analytical and logistics modeling
- Use modeling tools to understand, analyze and recommend transportation and warehousing network alternatives
- Interface extensively with regions
- Select and manage tool set and software
- Ability to work with large amounts of data and prepare baseline network models which can be used to run “what if” scenarios
- Responsible in determining level of analysis and modeling required for a given project
- Technical expert and “math brain” of the organization
- Work within the HP organization and with external consulting companies

This senior role within HP's Global Logistics team is designed to meet the career aspirations of senior logistics engineers.

Though Bucharest based, the job will require 3 months overseas training and thereafter entail 25 % of the time international travel.

The team in which we seek a poised, self assured senior player, ultimately will be key in setting regional logistics strategic direction and to that end responsible to provide analytical and modeling support and to help analyze the data prior to implementation.
