Electrical Service Engineer

 Completed apprenticeship in Electrical Engineering (preferably motors/fans)
 Strong mechanical competence, educated to ONC level with 5/10 years practical experience
 Experience in the oil industry, offshore, power & water.
 Planning & co-ordination skills are essential
 Assume role of Site Supervisor on smaller projects
 Responsible for QA Documentation
 Take on any ad hoc or skilled jobs which are necessary
 Ability to work hands-on on relevant tasks.
 Good communication skills – ie English written and verbal
 Good health
 Familiar with use of measuring equipment
 Responsible and familiar with Health & Safety at work.
 Self motivated, ambitious, flexible and productive.
 Computer literate (although not necessary)
 16th Edition Regs C+G 2381 and preferably with C+G 2391 Inspection and Testing
 Maintenance/fault finding of LV Control Panels, starters (DOL/star delta/soft start/VSD)
 Used to working with motors/fans/pumps/compressors
 Familiar in motor rewinds and preferably in submersible units

 To ensure all motor refurbishment meets the Company /customer requirements.
 To ensure all local personnel working on the team are operating safely, have had appropriate inductions, risk assessments and toolbox talks and are following both Company Services and client safety methods.
 To supervise local personnel in the execution of their work, ensuring that personnel are following technical method statements, taking appropriate actions to ensure quality and recording data into the QA system.
 To provide technical support and where appropriate to liaise with the Company technical support team and/or the client field engineer to ensure correct actions are taken.
 To manage the resources within his team to ensure the most productive use of all hours available.
 To ensure all permit-to-work and other work order card procedures are in place prior to and during operations.
 To record all times taken and report accordingly into the Company system or client system
 Prepare reports and input information.


This role is pivotal to the quality of the work and takes first line responsibility for the physical quality of the work undertaken. It is a hands–on position with primary responsibility being pump maintenance activities (both corrective and preventative maintenance) and general maintenance.
