| CANDIDATUL IDEAL:
Degree in Electronics, Automatics or Electrical!!! Engineering with minimum 5+ years experience in embedded system design, mixed signal design, and/or energy metering
Software:
Strong experience in designing, implementing, testing, and maintaining structured firmware based embedded design solutions for 8, 16 and 32-bit microcontrollers/microprocessors in the C programming language, with a strong background in mixed signal / energy metering applications.
Experience with assembly language for 8, 16, and 32-bit microcontrollers/microprocessors a plus.
Must be able to read and interpret written specifications, and implement solutions from those specifications.
Experience developing software using a standard software development methodology.
Hardware:
Must also have both analog and digital circuit design and debugging experience. Prefer to have prior system design experience with mixed signal / energy metering applications. Must be familiar with schematic capture and PCB layout CAD tools (i.e. Altium PCAD and Designer).
Others:
Have excellent communications skills. Strong verbal and written abilities with the English language. Have the ability to present technical material to customers and field support teams.

| RESPONSABILITATI / BENEFICII:
Applications Engineer – Mixed-Signal is responsible for the applications support and new product development of Microchip's Energy Metering and Monitoring products and solutions. Specific duties include developing microcontroller firmware for 8/16/32 bit PIC MCU's, creating custom schematics, and designing hardware and software based on the application needs of Microchip's metering customers, and providing applications collateral including new interface product datasheets, application notes, customer training, development tools, reference designs, and system level silicon validation.
Main responsibilities will be in the following areas:
Embedded Software Library Design:
• Develop microcontroller firmware for energy metering/monitoring applications using Microchip's PIC MCU's and Energy Metering Analog Front End devices.
• Create development tools and reference designs to assist customers with understanding and designing in energy metering/monitoring products
• Create energy metering solution demo's for trade shows and Microchip training seminars.
• Create sample code for various energy metering solutions for customers
Support:
• Assist customers and field support teams in resolving technical issues related to Energy Metering products
• Provide on-site system design support for regional energy metering customers.
• Support Microchip new product development teams focusing on energy measurement solutions.
Training:
• Develop technical collateral such as application notes, technical briefs and articles to promote and support the Energy Metering product line
• Present technical training material (webinars, seminars, hands-on workshops, etc.) to customers and the technical sales force

Microchip opened the R&D Center located in Bucharest in April 2006 and has been constantly expanding it.
The center deals with new product design and applications development for microcontrollers, analog and memory circuits.
