PHP Technology Team Leader

As a "PHP Technology Team Leader", you:
- Participate in the analysis and design of server-side and client-side applications using PHP technologies;
- Are a major contributor to the development effort during the full life cycle of the software product;
- Mentor a team of developers and lead them to deliver state-of-the-art working software;
- Learn state of the art software development methodologies (Agile, Unified Process, PHP Design Patterns) and apply them in your work;
- Report to the CTO - Adswizz R&D centre Bucuresti.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
The following items are absolutely rewuired - do not apply if you do not meet the criteria below.
- University degree in Computers Science, Mathematics, Business IT, or related discipline;
- At least 4-year experience in PHP programming, among which at least 1 in PHP 5 Object-Oriented;
- Good spoken and written English.
From an architecture, software design and configuration point-of-view:
- Good understanding of multi-tiered PHP architectures;
- Good understanding of at least one PHP Framework (e.g. CakePHP, Symfony, Zend Framework);
- Knowledge of configuration management, i.e. source code management (e.g. SVN);
- Good knowledge of performance optimization techniques.
From an implementation point-of view:
- Good knowledge of SQL (MySQL);
- Previous experience with a PHP data abstraction layer;
- Good knowledge of AJAX and knowledge of at least one PHP AJAX framework;
- Good knowledge of application security principles and patterns:
- interest in development best practices (documentation before/while delivering, code reviews, coding standards);
- understanding of HTML, CSS and ability to integrate HTML, CSS provided by skilled designers into your applications;
- Good knowledge of Javascript.
From a management point-of-view:
- Previous experience as "leader" or "manager" of a team of PHP (or other tech.) developers - be it a small team (3 people) to a larger team (10+ people);
- Excellent mentoring and communication skills.

NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Any of the items below are a great asset in this position:
- Knowledge or interest in Adserving technologies such as OpenXAdserver, PHPAdsNew, DoubleClick DFA/DFP;
- Interest in PHP 5 deign patterns - and design patterns in general - is a plus;
- Knowledge of Flash ActionScript2 or ActionScript3;
- Good knowledge of any PHP CMS such as Drupal, Joomla;
- Knowledge of search engine optimization techniques;
- Good understanding of UML;
- Knowledge of MySQL replication;
- Knowledge of PHPunit - Unit Testing - Continuous integration;
- Knowledge of XML/XSLT and related tools;
- Fluencyh in any of the following languages: German, French, Italian, Spanish.
