CANDIDATUL IDEAL:
A. EXPERIENCE
- University degree in Computers Science, Mathematics, Business IT, or related discipline;
1. PROJECT MANAGEMENT:
- Proven track-record as Manager of small to mid-size IT projects (100 to 2.000 mandays/year). Minimum 2 years experience in this field.
- Deep understanding and hands-on experience with Unified Process or Iterative Software Delivery Processes (RUP, Agile, XP, etc). Strong abilities in coaching and mentoring project teams in use of Unified Process.
- Ability to develop and manage project schedules, resource plan, communication plan, critical path. Assets: Knowledge of “Project Management Institute”-based techniques: Project planning using WBS and PERT-based techniques, Project Tracking using Earned Value Analysis, Project prioritization using “Quality Function Deployment” (QFD) techniques.
- Knowledge of project risk & issue mitigation techniques. Ability to identify and develop countermeasure planning with project team incorporating the mitigations into the project schedule
2. REQUIREMENTS ANALYSIS:
- Proven track record as “Requirements analysts” in various IT projects
- Ability to understand the strategic vision of a customer and translate it into a “Project Vision”.
- Ability to organize requirements workshops with customers and company analysts in order to capture requirements.
- Ability to capture customer functional requirements using “Use Case” and Storyboard-based specifications. ASSETS: Knowledge of FURPS+ structure for writing supplementary (non-functional) specifications.
3. SOFTWARE ARCHITECTURE AND DESIGN:
- Minimum 5 year experience as architect and developer using Java, C/C++, C# and/or MS .NET framework;
- Very good experience with UML tools MS .Net, C#, OOP, Web Services, ActiveX, ADO.NET, ASP.NET;
- Strong experience with XML family of technologies, HTML, SOAP; a good understanding of XML Schema and XQuery is a plus
- Databases: SQL Server, Oracle, stored procedures, good understanding of database design;
- Must have at least three years experience working with UML Tools, Linux, Unit Testing concepts and tools (e.g. JUnit, NUnit)
- Must have at least two years experience with developing and deploying applications built with Java Application Servers such as Apache, JBoss, Bea WebLogic
- Must have at least two years experience with developing and deploying applications using Microsoft technologies, both for client/server and Web applications
- Sound knowledge of Design Patterns, Data Model Patterns and their application in developing software applications
B. ASSETS (not required, but highly valued and appreciated)
- Agile development methodologies, unit testing experience, and good understanding of UML are considered a plus
- Good understanding of Refactoring
C. LANGUAGES
- English: excellent written and oral English
- Knowledge of French is highly valued
- Knowledge of German, Italian, Dutch is an asset
