ICT Senior Administrator

The ideal candidate should have:

* 3 years plus of proven experience in administering Windows and Unix/Linux environments
* experience in a demanding environment using Application servers such as Apache/Tomcat, JBoss, HTTP
* Considerable knowledge of the utilisation, operation and care of computer and related electronic data processing equipment, including communication systems and their protocols.
* Considerable knowledge of the general principles of computer systems operation, including potential uses and limitations. Knowledge in structured documentation of installations and configuration of operating equipment and solutions.
* Good knowledge of general research and practices as they apply to the application and use of electronic data processing equipment.
* Basic knowledge of general programming techniques as applied to electronic data processing equipment.
* Ability to supervise the operation of computer and related equipment.
* Ability to establish and maintain production and quality control on computer operations.
* Ability to read, analyse, and interpret technical procedures.
* Ability to write reports and routine business correspondence.

* Acquires, installs and maintains studio’s local area network.
* Assists in presenting to management recommendations related to purchasing and installing hardware, software and telecommunications equipment.
* Manages LAN security and network performance.
* Regularly assessing risk exposures and formulating solutions to be presented to Management for review.
* Establishes and implements LAN policies, procedures and standards, ensuring conformance with information systems and objectives.
* Develops and writes procedures for installation, use and solving problems of communications hardware and software.
* Instructs users in the use of equipment, and monitors that this usage conforms with policies and best practice.
* May oversee or assist in the installation of communications hardware.
* May perform minor equipment repairs.
