Mechanical Design Engineer

Basic requirements:

• University degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 3+ years design experience
• Hands-on experience in design for die casting
• Hands-on experience in plastic parts and sheet metal design
• Hands-on experience with SolidWorks and 2D Autocad
• Good understanding of thermal and structural analysis
• Good understanding of RFI/EMI mechanical solutions
• Excellent communication skills in English, spoken and written

Would be an asset:
• Hands-on experience with jigs design for the production line
• 5+ years design experience

Job Description
As part of the new product development team, you will design new products and introduce them into production. Part of an international team, you will also liaise with overseas suppliers to communicate & follow up on requirements.

Your main responsibilities will be:

• Design and leading mechanical projects for electronic equipment.
• Be an active member of a Mechanical team.
• To find, instruct and conduct local suppliers for prototypes (machining, sheet metal, jigs)
• To complete documentation required to release all designs to production, including mechanical drawings, bills of material, assembly drawings, engineering change orders, etc.
• Report on weekly basis to Mechanical team leader.
