Software Developer - ADOBE Web Infrastructure Team

Knowledge & Skills:

• B.S. or M.S. degree (degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent is a bonus)
• 4 or more years of industry experience in a similar position
• Ability to understand complex technical information
• Communicates effectively with the local and remote team members
• Strong knowledge of web-related client-side technologies (JavaScript/Ajax, CSS, XHTML, DOM) and web standards
• Experience building and deploying web applications with at least two server technologies (JSP/J2EE, Java servlets, ColdFusion, .NET, etc.)
• Good knowledge of SQL and experience with at least one Database Management System (Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL)
• Knowledge of Web 2.0 concepts and applications is considered a plus (blogging, tagging, folksonomies, social bookmarking, wiki, etc.)
• ActionScript and Flash/Flex experience are considered big pluses
• You must be enthusiastic, creative, have entrepreneurial spirit and the desire to innovate.
• Solid foundation in development process, best practices and design patterns
• Client-centric thinking is a plus
• Good knowledge of code-versioning tools and practices
• Strong knowledge of code-editors, debuggers, profilers and other tools for the technologies he owns

Position Summary:

The Romanian Web Infrastructure team is looking for highly-motivated and skilled people to work in the development of a community-driven project that will change the way customers engage with Adobe content. As a Software developer, you will be responsible for developing various modules and researching technologies for the project. The team will be a medium one (6-7 people). You will be reporting directly to the Engineer Manager of the team.

Responsibilities:

• Work independently and own multiple features of the product
• Transform requirements into architectural and feature specs
• Design & implement features, required APIs, test suites or technology according to specifications
• Interact with the quality engineers, to ensure project deliverables meet the required quality standards.
• Perform research on various technologies useful for the project.
• Provide status and feedback to management
