Senior Geophysicist

• University Degree in Geosciences, preferably Geophysics (MSc , PhD)
• Good knowledge of the geology of Romania
• Profound knowledge of petroleum geology and good experience in structural geology and subsurface mapping, stratigraphy and sedimentology
• Experience in the analysis of risk and uncertainty
• Good teamwork and interpersonal and communication skills
• Computer literate, knowledge of the standard geophysical software applications on workstations
• Minimum of 5 years experience in Geophysics
• Good English knowledge

• Set up of seismic acquisition programs, including definition of field parameters
• Supervision of seismic acquisition operations
• Evaluation and interpretation of modern and historic 2D seismic lines, in cooperation with the team geologist
• Application of Schlumberger* and Landmark* geophysical software systems on workstations (Charisma, Seisworks)
• Interpretation of 3D seismic cubes in cooperation with the team geologist
• Generation and delivery of isochrones maps and isobaths maps
• Preparation of seismic data for the integration in static reservoir models
• Application and interpretation of advanced seismic techniques, including attribute analysis, inversion, AVO, etc.
• Evaluation and incorporation of VSP measurements
• Creation and maintenance of a task related seismic data base
• Identification and generation of leads, prospects and drill projects in cooperation with the team geologist
• Preparation of peer reviews, tollgates, proposals for exploration projects
• Contribution to risk analysis and economic calculations
• Work in a regional exploration team
