Junior Counsel

Accountabilities:

- follow and promote legal procedures to ensure that managers and employees are aware of legal requirements;
- cooperate with established network of external advisors and ensure high quality and optimum cost of services;
- protect company's interests so as to anticipate potential problems and reduce commercial risk;
- ensure that all contracts and agreements protect the company's interest and are in compliance with applicable law and company's policies;
- participate in relations with governmental authorities;
- work closely with other departments and provide proactive counseling and legal advice in order to develop and implement strategies designed to protect the company's interests that are within bounds of the law and to ensure that current and potential legal risks are identified and properly managed;
- closely follow proposed or newly enacted laws of significance to the company and keep the Legal dept. informed.

Requirements:

- 3 - 5 years experience in relevant practice area (corporate law), including 2 years experience in a major law firm or major multinational enterprise;
- fluency in Romanian and English;
- very good communication and influence skills;
- customer service orientation;
- university degree from accredited law school;
- excellent presentation and writing skills;
- negotiation skills;
- achievement orientation;
- pro-active and creative approach to his work;
- analytical & learning capabilities;
- strong generalist knowledge of all the key areas of law.
