CANDIDATUL IDEAL:
The successful candidate will have:
* 7-8 years experience of Unix systems administration
* English Fluency
* Proven experience in “highly available” production environments (e.g. Reliance IDC, Spectra etc).
* Experience with Fedora and Red Hat Enterprise Server editions
- LVM installation / configuration
- securing systems and disabling unused services
- fully automated kickstart installations
- using yum to apply patches and keep systems up to date
- configuring DNS / NIS / Apache / ProFTPD
- kernel tuning for different environments i.e. GPRS clients
- iptables
* Database administration skills including
- Basic Oracle 9i / 10g administration
- Familiarity with Oracle exp / imp
- Good knowledge about PostgreSQL up to version 8.1
- Understanding of how a SQL query engine works
* Strong scripting skills and a deep understanding of advanced UNIX/Linux commands and tools,
* Experience with Java applications and Java application containers. Jakarta Tomcat and Resin configuration and tuning.
* Experience in supporting applications with large numbers of concurrent transactions and bursty traffic profiles
* Experience supporting Dell hardware infrastructure
* Experience in FreeBSD, Solaris and other UNIX flavors is advantageous
* Previous work with Vertias products such as VxVM and VCS is a benefit.
* Watchguard Firewall Implementation and Maintenance
* Nagios installation and maintenance with plug-in coding skills
The candidate must have a structured approach on installation and maintaining systems and keep systems as identical as possible to ease administration and deployment.

RESPONSABILITATI / BENEFICII:
We are looking to recruit a senior Linux Systems Administrator for our office in Iasi.
The role can involve travel to UK to visit the headquarters in London, or globally to client or branch sites if this is appropriate.

We are looking to build a highly technical R&D team in Iasi to fulfil our growing development requirements globally. The team will complement our world class development teams in UK, Estonia and India.
