Drug Safety Assistant

To strengthen our team, Actavis Pharmacovigilance Drug Safety is seeking for new colleagues for a permanent position as entry level. Actavis Pharmacovigilance Drug Safety is responsible for monitoring patient safety and reporting to authorities for all Actavis products in all markets of the world with the exception of the USA.

Qualifications required:

• Faculty of medicine or pharmacy.
• A good level of knowledge of general medicine and pharmacology and a confident user of English medical terminology - extremely important
• Fluent in both written and spoken English.
• Good computer skills (Office-Excel, Word, PowerPoint; Internet)
• Experience with Pharmacovigilance is preferable, but not a requirement.

The tasks as Drug Safety Assistant will mainly consist of handling of all incoming individual case safety reports.

• Receives and enters safety data into our global database.
• Triage of in-coming reports and perform follow-up activities
• Evaluates from a medical point of view adverse event reports.
• Reports both electronically and by other means to authorities and associated partners.
• Communicates with Actavis companies and other partners internationally.
• Participates in the development and maintenance of an efficient and robust Pharmacovigilance system.
