CANDIDATUL IDEAL:

WSP Romania is looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to fill the role of a Technical Director within the MEP Group. The successful candidate will be working and reporting to the Managing Director.
The Technical Director is a senior management role, accountable for contributing to the strategic leadership, operational performance, technical and people leadership of their team and discipline projects across WSP Romania and Eastern Europe. The role holder will also be responsible for the Project Director (PD) or Project Manager (PM) role for selected multi and single disciplinary MEP projects. The role holder must take a ‘hands on’ approach to all aspects of the role. The person will be based in the Bucharest office full time. The position is available with immediate effect.

WSP Romania este in cautarea unui inginer de instalatii experimentat in vederea ocuparii postului de Director Tehnic al echipei departamentului MEP (Instalatii) din cadrul companiei.Candidatul ales va lucra si raporta Directorului General.
Ocupantul postului de Director Tehnic va avea rol de conducere si va fi responsabil in ceea ce priveste strategia de conducere, performanta operationala si tehnica si conducerea oamenilor din echipa precum si disciplina proiectelor din cadrul companiei din Romania si a celor din Europa de Est.Directorul tehnic va avea deasemenea rol de Director de Proiect(PD) sau de Manager de Proiect(PM) in cadrul proiectelor individuale sau multidisciplinare desemnate in cadrul departamentului MEP(Instalatii).Ocupantul acestui post va trebui sa abordeze cu fermitate toate aspectele legate de rolul sau in companie.Aceasta persoana va fi incadrata in biroul din Bucuresti cu norma intreaga.Pozitia este disponibila avand efect imediat.


RESPONSABILITATI / BENEFICII:

Business Leadership
• Responsible for the leadership and support of their team
• Ensure that Health & Safety is embedded into all work practices in line with company policies
• Ensure the right resources are utilized effectively at the right time across their team and pro-jects
• Act as technical focal point for the discipline to ensure that communication and design processes are continually improved
• Support the leadership of recruitment and selection strategies

• Support the development and delivery of training and awareness session as required
• Contribute to the development and drive the implementation of the business unit (BU) strategy
• Attend and contribute to monthly management meetings
• Attend and lead team and project meetings, cascade relevant information and encourage feedback from the team
• Contribute to the setting and delivering P&L, BU budget and forecasts
• Engage with peer group and contribute to industry events and associations
• Lead by example and ensure QMS (Quality Management System) and Project lifecycle compliance across their team and projects
• Provide leadership and guidance on the companies approach to Sustainability and ensure that the Sustainability strategy is implemented within the BU

Activitatea de conducere a afacerii
• Responsabil pentru conducerea si asigurarea suportului necesar echipei
• Asigurarea respectarii masurilor de Sanatate si Securitate in conformitate cu normele de munca si in concordanta cu politicile companiei in toate aspectele legate de activitatea sa si a subordonatilor sai.
• Asigurarea folosirii eficiente a resurselor adecvate in timp util, in cadrul proiectelor in care echipa MEP va fi implicata.
• Asumarea rolului de mentor tehnic in domeniul instalatiilor in vederea imbunatatirii con-tinue a proceselor de comunicare si proiectare.
Asigurarea suportului conducerii in dezvoltarea strategiilor de recrutare selectie.
• Supravegherea aspiratiilor semnificative, intocmirea evaluarilor de performanta manageriala si a planurilor de dezvoltare personale in vederea dezvoltarii individuale a membrilor departamentului si a dezvoltarii afacerii.
• Asigurarea suportului privind dezvoltarea si planificarea carierei tuturor membrilor echipei MEP(Instalatii).
• Sprijinirea angajatilor departamentului prin asigurarea de sesiuni de instruire in functie de necesitati.
• Asigurarea suportului privind punerea in aplicare a strategiei de dezvoltare a departamentului.
• Participarea si sustinerea (aportul) la sedintele de management lunare.
• Participarea si coordonarea echipei si a sedintelor aferente proiectelor, asigurarea abundentei de informatii si incurajarea angajatilor echipei MEP in furnizarea de fedd back-uri.
• Asigurarea suportului privind stabilirea si furnizarea P&L, a bugetului BU(business unit) si prognoza (anticiparea) acestora.
• Antrenarea colegilor si implicarea acestora in asociatii si evenimente
• Conducerea prin exemplu si asigurarea implementarii si respectarii Sistemului de Man-agement al Calitatii (QMS) in evolutia proiectelor si in activitatile echipei.
• Asigura orientarea si directia companiei privind strategia de dezvoltare durabila si modul de implementare al acesteia.


Business Development
• Proactively support business development activities through participation in external market profile raising activities and functions
• Actively develop external and internal client relationships
• Proactively co sell other WSP services and where applicable the wider business
• Ensure teams CV’s and capability statements and marketing material is kept up to date
• Contribute to the Global Account Management (GAM) and Key Account Management (KAM) programs, with the aim of increasing client intelligence to develop win solutions and support unique selling points for prospects
• Authority to manage prospect decisions in line with the companies Prospect to Project process
• Act as the Prospect Director or Prospect Manager on selected prospects
• Responsible for the ‘Prospect to Project Process’ for major projects and overseeing the process for direct reports
• Provide technical leadership to respond to prequalification documents, Request for Price (RFPs) and other client inquiries
• Responsible for providing financial build-up of resource and lump sum pricing items for pro-spects where required

Activitatea de dezvoltare a afacerii

• Sustine in mod proactiv activitatile de dezvoltare a afacerii prin participarea pe piata externa de profil.
• Dezvoltarea in mod activ a relatiilor atat cu clientii interni cat si cu cei externi.
• Promovarea in mod proactiv a tuturor serviciilor pe care compania le furnizeaza si unde este posibil, promovarea intregii activitati a grupului.
• Actualizarea CV-urilor echipei, a materialelor de marketing si a pliantului de prezentare a companiei(Capability Statemets).
• Contribuie la elaborarea programelor privind the Global Account Management (GAM) si Key Account Management (KAM), cu scopul de a stimula capacitatea(inteligenta) clientului in dezvoltarea si sustinerea solutilor care conduc la castigareain perspectiva a proiectului.
• Autoritate in a gestiona deciziile de perspectiva in conformitate cu prospectarea companiilor catre procesul Proiectului.
Activeaza ca o persoana cheie in activitatea de prospectare a pietei.
• Este responsabil pentru transformarea prospectelor in proiecte si pentru supravegherea acestora in vederea raportarilor directe.
• Asigura conducerea din punct de vedere tehnic si raspunde de documentele de precalificare, cererea de oferta(de pret) precum si alte cerinte ale clientului.
• Asigura elaborarea ofertei financiare , precum si stabilirea pretului privind anumite astecte, acolo unde se solicita acest lucru.


Project Leadership
• To act as PD or PM on selected MEP projects by leading and managing the successful delivery of high quality multi and single disciplinary projects
• Ensure that own projects adhere to Project Lifecycle and that projects led by direct reports adhere to Project Lifecycle
• Accountable for the contractual relationship between the business and the client; taking the process from proposal to contract, utilizing the advice of the support functions
• Ensure proactive project planning, stakeholder and risk management takes place across pro-jects
• Supervise the team to identify, assess and manage major project risk and secure the best commercial return from the projects in their portfolio
• Work with and provide direction,
• To ensure statutory and regulatory requirements technical expertise and support to MEP and other business units within the company are met
• Accountable for delivery to project P&L budgets, forecasts and working capital targets for own projects and projects led by direct reports
• Accountable for the accurate and timely recognition of revenue for own projects and projects led by direct reports
• Accountable for overseeing and delivering the process of working capital management from inception to completion within set deadlines; This includes the timing of invoicing, the review of Work in Progress (WIP) and the collection of outstanding invoices from clients whilst utilizing the advice of the support functions as necessary
• Contribute to the completion of monthly management project reports to be issued by set deadline


Activitatea de sef de proiect

• Va actiona intocmai ca un Director de Proiect sau ca Manager de Proiect, in vederea furnizarii de informatii clientilor, la un inalt nivel profesional.
• Va asigura evolutia ciclului de viata al proiectului
• Va fi responsabil pentru relatiile contractuale cu toti clientii, implicandu-se in procesul de la faza de propunere pana la faza semnarii contractului,luand in considerare, suportul si sfaturile necesare.
• Va asigura proactive planificarea proiectului, precum si riscurile care se iau in calcul si care pot aparea in desfasurarea proiectului.
• Va supraveghea echipa in scopul identificarii, evaluarii si gestionarii riscurilor in vederea obtinerii unui randament commercial pozitiv al proiectelor din portofoliu echipei MEP (Instalatii).
• Va asigura suportul si expertiza tehnica departamentului MEP(Instalatii) si a altor departamente din cadrul companiei.
• Se va asigura intotdeauna ca sunt respectate cerintele legale si statutare.
• Va fi responsabil privind furnizarea bugetelor,a previziunilor si a obiectivelor de capital pentru proiectele departamentului.
• Va fi responsabil pentru identificarea veniturilor proiectelor pe care le gestioneaza si va intocmi rapoarte cu privire la acestea.
• Va fi responsabil pentru controlul si livrarea procedeelor de gestionare a capitalui, de la inceperea, desfasurarea si inclusiv predarea la timp a proiectelor.Aceasta responsabilitate cuprinde emiterea facturii, urmarirea proiectului in desfasurare,inclusiv implicarea in activitatea de colectare a sumelor din facturile restante, acolo unde este necesar(debitori).
• Va contribui la elaborarea rapoartelor de management lunare si emiterea acestora la timp.


Technical
• Keep up to date with industry developments with respect to own discipline, other disciplines and engineering innovations and developments on a global scale
• Initiate and support the technical capabilities of the BU and the company wide business
• Maintain contact with key technical leaders across WSP offices and around the world
• Lead technical solutions on projects
• Drive innovation and utilize technological advancement
• Contribute to and lead design peer reviews in alignment with the QMS system
• Chartered Engineer with a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 15 years post graduate experience
• Member of associated Professional body
• The role requires the candidate to have experience in various fields of the MEP such as HVAC Systems, Electrical Systems, Public Health
• Experience and proven ability to lead and manage large MEP projects
• Experience in Design & Build projects
• Experience in both public and private sector projects
• Ability to progress projects successfully to tight timescales and budget constraints
• Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with the team and the clients
• Ability to effectively manage time, multi-task, and pay close attention to details
• Excellent grasp of project management including financial control of projects
• Having good inter-personal skills with a positive can do attitude
• Should be available to travel and follow up projects in Romania and the neighboring countries
• Client facing with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal in English
• Experienced user of MS Office Suite of Programs
• Comprehensive experience in associated discipline software such as AutoCAD, Magi Cad, IES, etc.


Activitatea Tehnica

• Va tine pasul cu noutatile tehnice din domeniul de activitate (Instalatii pentru Constructii) precum si cu inovatiile din alte domenii ale ingineriei la nivel global. .
• Va initia si va sustine capacitatile tehnice ale departamentului precum si nivelul de dezvoltare a a afacerilor din cadrul companiei.
• Mentinerea(pastrarea) legaturii cu liderii cheie din cadrul birourilor WSP din toata lumea.
• Va propune si superviza implementarea solutiilor tehnice propuse in cadrul proiectelor.
• Va utiliza solutii tehnologice avansate in realizarea proiectelor.
• Va asigura suportul privind verificarea activitatii de proiectare a aechipei si se va asigura ca aceasta este in conformitate cu Sistemul de management al calitatii.
• Detinator al unei diplome de licenta in domeniul Instalatiilor pentru Constructii. (Inginer Diplomat cu specializarea “Instalatii pentru Constructii”).
• Minimum 15 ani experienta
• Membru al unei asociatii profesionale.
• Candidatul pentru aceasta pozitie va trebui sa aiba experienta in diferite discipline de Instalatii precum: Instalatii HVAC (termo-ventilatii), Instalatii Electrice,Instalatii Sanitare. si de protectie la incendiu.
Va avea o experienta si abilitati demonstrate de a conduce proiecte de instalatii de mare anvergura.


Experienta in proiecte de tip”Design&Build”.

• Experienta in ambele sectoare:public si privat.
• Abilitati de monitorizare cu succes a proiectelor in vederea respectarii termenlor de livrare sia constrangerilor financiare.

Abilitati de a realiza si mentine relatii solide cu membrii echipei si clientii.


Abilitati de gestionare efectiva a timpului, multiple sarcini, si acordarea atentiei detaliilor.

Abordare excelenta a activitatii de gestionare a proiectelor incluzand controlul financiar al acestora.
Optimist, cu atitudine pozitiva si abilitati de comunicare inter-personale.
• Disponibil in vederea efectuarii de calatorii in tara si in strainatate pentru a monitoriza proiectele.
• Abordarea clientului cu excelenta capacitate de comunicare, ambele:scris si verbal in Limba Engleza.
• Experienta in utilizarea programelor MS Office Suite.
