=== You will have to gain the below knowledge during the training period ===
1.Linux OS usage from command line
ie:
* os and folders structure
* navigate trough folder and file
* search/view/edit files
* get/put files through http/ssh/ftp from cli
2. Networking
ie:
* ip classes, subnetting, routing
* manual ip/routing configuration
* firewall / port forwarding
* wireless configuration
3. Basic understanding of scripting languages
4. Knowledge of home automation networks (Z-Wave, Insteon, ZigBee)

=== Linux Home Automation Support Engineer Level2 ===

- At least 1 year relevant work experience within Linux system administration
- Good Debian/Ubuntu administration skills
- ADVANCED BASH scripting/debugging knowledge
- DNS administration / User/host account administration / TCP/IP networking & troubleshooting / Firewall experience / Backups
- Strong familiarity with Apache, MySQL replication/tunning, OpenSSH/Dropbear, Subversion
- Experience with managing web servers & secure certificates
- Common programming and scripting languages (C, Perl, PHP, Shell) knowledge is a plus
* Experience with Amazon EC2 / Rackspace / Linode VPS is a plus
* Experience with Asterisk, Request Tracker, Nagios, Cacti is a plus

- offer support to our customers by email, phone or forum
ie:
* login remotely to clients units through web or ssh to debug reported issues
* take advantage of usual unix tools in order to find and fix customers issues

- Write FAQ's or tutorials for our customers
- Keep track of each customer issue and work with the developers in order to fix it

- Help Level1 Engineer to solve customers issues
- Write tools that would help Level1 in debugging further issues
- Monitor/Maintain/Improve current servers and their structure
- Setup new servers
- Configure Apache, PHP, MySQL with replication
- Setup backups, fail-overs
- Write ADVANCED BASH or PERL shell scripts
- Create Makefiles for C sources, OpenWRT packages
- Create/Maintain toolchains for embedded platforms
