Health Safety & Environment Manager

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor degree in safety, environmental or related management/engineering field.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Attention to detail
• Communicative, creative, people oriented and open to change.
• Local regulatory requirements for health, safety and environment
• PC and database skills
• Previous experience within a HSE department (preferably global) for 3-4 years
• Fluency in English

The HSE department of CGT Craiova, Romania, are seeking a highly experienced Health & Safety Environment Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for Security, Health and Environment task at work.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental requirements according to Romanian legislation and group policies and procedures
• Develop site specific safety policies, procedures and programs in alignment with national legislation, as well as corporate and PGBU programs
• Develop and devise implementation plans for health, safety and environmental training
• Identify and develop control plans for hazards which exist at the site
• Interact with regulatory agencies as required to maintain compliance with all applicable standards
• Manage environmental remediation projects as required to maintain compliance with all applicable standards
• Recordkeeping
• Stop all dangerous activities for employees and site
• Support Corporate initiatives and interface with Corporate entities on health, safety, environmental and security matters
• Ensure site emergency preparedness
• Drive world class health, safety, environmental and security performance for the site.
