Cloud Engineer - mid and senior level

Job Requirements

Responsibilities:
· Open Source/Cloud software development of innovative architecture approaches using all or a part of the following technologies:
- Azure, Rackspace, AWS
- Hadoop, HBase, Solr
- HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery
- NoSQL, MySQL
· Implement web-based systems for high availability and scalability with a keen interest in performance tuning
· Utilize best practices and design patterns, writing elegant code for functional and optimal web applications
· Consult with analysts and team-leaders to evaluate and develop product specifications
· Communicate effectively with customers and internal teams
· Developing/testing/reviewing code & applications
· Develop your skills and capabilities so that you are ready for promotion as soon as possible. This is the opportunity to be at the center of a meteoric start-up.

Essential Know-how and/or qualifications:
· Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a software development position
· A self-starter with ability to bring and adapt to new ideas and technologies
· Background knowledge in at least one of: Java, C#, C++, Ruby on Rails
· Good knowledge in at least one cloud computing system/platform (e.g. Azure, Rackspace, AWS, Heroku, EngineYard) as well as PaaS and IaaS concepts or high interest in working with such technologies
· At least average Unix/Linux know-how
· Knowledge in Hadoop, HBase, Solr, NoSQL, MySQL or high interest in working with such technologies
· At least a basic understanding of High Availability, Load Balancing, Performance Tuning, Security, Web-Analytics, and Search Engine Optimization
· Excellent English writing and communication skills
