Cost Engineer

Work Location: Saipem Romania, Aricestii Rahtivani, Prahova County

This position is adressed to applicants already resident and with valid work permit in Romania at the time of application.

Your main tasks will be to:

• ensure that all project deliverables and documents are timely issued and fit for project purpose;
• review Project scope of work within the technical discipline to line-up the project technical requirements to Saipem work instructions and participate to discipline package submission (scope of work, equipment philosophy and budget);
• act as the focal point for all matters related to the disciplines and subjects you are in charge of and act as interface between Project team, Client/Third Parties Rep’s, operational Pipeline Technologies Center and other areas teams;
• liaise with other specialists of Pipeline Technologies Center team (welding, NDT, coating, asset, maintenance, procurement), to ensure consistency of the qualification and fabrication activities, to collect needed information;
• monitor Tendering budget and project costs during the engineering and execution phases;
• preparation of documents for possible change orders and claims and the overall monitoring of claims evolution;
• participate in the periodical project budget review meetings / both with technical disciplines and Client representatives;
• capability to ensure that any deviation from planned activities is promptly spotted and analyzed.

What you should have:

• previous experience or University degree in Engineering - Mechanical/ Welding field;
• knowledge of international engineering standards - will be a plus;
• fluency in English;
• SAP knowledge - will be a plus;
• fast learner and proactive.
