I am an active contributor to the open source SIP servers forked from OpenSER: OpenSIPS and
Kamailio (the programming language is C under Linux).
• The latest project is a Cassandra DB connector for the SIP server that will allow building distributed SIP platforms with little effort.
• I have designed and coded the presence part in the server(presence, presencewinfo, XCAP privacy rules, BLA/SLA, BLF, RLS, SIP-XMPP gateway for presence).
• Another major project was implementing a SIP Back-to-Back User Agent for OpenSIPS, which started as my dissertation thesis. The implementation has two parts: the lower one implementing the capabilities of a SIP endpoint and the upper one making use of those capabilities to offer PBX like services. It is highly configurable and a wide range of usage scenarios can be defined. The most complex application built on top of the B2BUA was a call center.
I have also configured and set up VoIP platforms based on OpenSIPS. The most challenging project was a HA(high availability) setup with state synchronization based on traffic replication for a server configured with presence, BLF and dialog monitoring.
During the years I have attended a couple of international IT conferences and held presentations about the projects I have implemented.
