Production Controller on Sagem and Pace accounts - monitors WIP value for FG and SFG, also the consumption of materials by Backflush process.
Material Controller - Material Control Department - monitors materials flow, receiving materials and the transfer between the warehouses.
Production Controll(Production Planner) on Philips account( 01-Feb-2003/24-May-2005)
Responsibilities:
• Receives customers forecast/demand, customer change requests and subsequent closure through Demand planner;
• Determines production and delivery schedule by shift/day/week/month;
• Monitors actual as planned production;
• Monitors and assures OTD;
• Compiles overall production schedule to avoid overlapping of schedules by planners sharing the same resources;
• Participates at the demand validation activities;
• Generates the Work Order in the BaaN system;
• Forwards the printed Work Order Traveler to the Master Scheduler;
• Reviews, releases and completes Production Orders;
• Reviews material availability (CTB);
• Manages aging of Work Orders;
• Performs daily measurements on WIP status and WIP cycle time;
• Tracks bone pile and related aging;
• Monitors scrap reporting;
• Manages rework from Production Control point of view (rework WO, planning and prioritization of the rework on the shop-floor, estimated versus actual cost on WO);
• Tracks Finished Goods Inventory, Finished Goods aging, Finished Goods in excess of agreed level for the specific account/customer/contract;
• Factors to be considered in the planning activity are: customer demand, material availability, placement capacity, test capacity and manufacturing capacity.
Based on this information, I made the production schedule for the next week, for my area of responsibilities. Also, I established every week when the maintenance activity for the production/test equipments will be done and inform the Master Scheduler.
Considerations for production scheduling shall include:
• Shiftly /Daily Go Rate
• Number of working days
• Learning curve if employees are new
• Yield assumptions
• Capacity of bottleneck station
• Availability of machine, tester, equipment, jig or fixture
• Process flow
Others responsibilities:
- verifies the back flush in the BaaN system made by the Production Control Operators.
- update every day the linearity and the stock of the finished goods from BaaN system has to be the same with the stock of the finish good from linearity.
- ensures that all the production orders in BaaN system are stated as “closed” in the system.
- I monitors any backlog in production or potential impact to shipment due to this backlog requires a recovery plan from Manufacturing .
- Every Friday I have to submit the achievements for the present week and also the plan for the ongoing week to the CFT Team.
- I assisted CFT in determining, documenting and communicating the inputs for the Account Review and P&L process.
Demand Planner on Philips account(24-MAY-05 - at present)
- Follow the simulation tool steps
- Keep the records of week-by-week simulation
- Analyze the short parts list
- Confirmed components not entered in Baan or further PN change
- Check the BOM
- Establish and develop the relations ship
The forecasted material availability is obtained by calculating a resulting SOH after each simulated demand consumption and taking into account the incoming confirmed PO grouped by confirmed delivery date.
I confirmed customer commit process based on:
- reviewing and loading customer forecast for the purposes of buying materials and scheduling production .
- analyses all customer forecast changes;
- works together with the AOM to formulate and send a response to the customer regarding the demand change request;
- revises the MPS and updates customer demand on the actual scenario;
- receives the capacity requirements from Industrial Engineering and makes changes if necessary;
- loads the system with customer demand;
- updates the actual scenario demand forecast from simulation to the actual scenario following the commit meeting on Thursday;
- validates the fully load, Friday before the weekend MRP;
- communicates a summary of the final load to the Planning Section Leader, AOM, Planning Manager and Materials Manager of Site MPS;
